Evel Knievel's Passing

Kaizen

Kaizen - the Japanese term for constant improvement, is something that I have written about in my Straight Line Editorial at Snowboarder and the Publisher's Note at SNOWBOARD. It is an idea I immediately embraced in college and have pursued since.

This summer was no exception as I had the opportunity to greatly enrich my understanding of marketing through the eyes of Windells' campers. While the riding was nice, in a Mt. Hood sort of way, the opportunity to tap into snowboarding's premier target market was even better. Spending eight weeks learning what goes through the minds of 12-18-year-olds has been time well spent. Kaizen!
